I know, I know it is summer and long sleeves are out. However I wave been battling sickness that just seems to keep coming back and I find I keep getting cold. I had a vision I wanted to bring to life this week. I keep seeing the Patterns for pirates boho babydoll and I love the gathering on it but I really want a tank version.  I love the fit of the essential tank and wanted to mash the two styles as much as possible. This week is all about stripes. With all the beautiful stripes we have had between retail and mystery packs it was hard to choose. However I got lucky and had an order placed for a striped and solid dress that is perfect for this challenge. so lets knock out two birds with one stone.  For this dress I am using the made for mermaids mamma joy pattern paired with our blue liverpool stripes and double brushed poly solid navy. Sew something with stars.  Another strike sew from the upcoming customs round paired with a retail non custom from the shop.  This week I chose to take a tank pattern I had never tried before and hack it to make a dress. Knowing I wanted a circle skirt I started looking at the tank patterns on my computer trying to decide on which one to use.  I landed on the Halla stardust tank.  I cut it off at the waist and added a circle skirt. Seeing as how both of my kids are growing like crazy I used this challenge to make my children each something..
